Where to Eat Before My Comedy Show
Aqua Grill (210 Spring Street at Sixth Ave.) — Mouth watering seafood restaurant and raw bar. There’s a reason why this upscale seafood restaurant has been around nearly 20 years.
Bar Ciccio (190 Sixth Ave. at Vandam) — Just steps away from Soho Playhouse, this cute boite serves great wine and pastas. Adorable space, lovely staff. Charming.
Il Corallo (176 Prince Street between Thompson & Sullivan)– For inexpensive pasta, go to this Soho staple. Diners swear by the Fusilli Tuberio and Rigatoni Pugliese. And you won’t pay extra for the servers’ brusk, New York attitude. Three blocks from the theater. Cash only.
Lupe’s East LA Kitchen (110 Sixth Avenue just below Broome) – Authentic Mexican food. Burritos, enchiladas and plenty of vegetarian options. Terrific margaritas too. Reasonably priced. Outdoor seating. Cash Only.
Westville (333 Hudson St. at Charlton) — The Hudson outpost of this NYC favorite serves American fare for carnivores and vegetarians alike. Try the grilled chicken breast with two market sides or a market plate (four vegetables and/or tofu). Both run about $15. Great salads and burgers too. Three blocks from the theater.
Happy eating & imbibing.
